As hard as the easiest breath

July 21, 2017

Hard is a feeling, not a fact.

In doing the the thing that feels difficult, you become the person for whom it’s not difficult. That’s true not just for you, but for everyone who ever did it and everyone who ever will.

There’s hard as in challenge and hard as in stress. Challenge means growth. Stress means nothing. It has nothing to do with the quality of our work but everything to do with wanting to feel like we’re working. Stress is an excuse for not doing our best.

Fear of failure or excitement about challenge? Stress from overwhelm or enthusiasm about possibility?

It might be hard. But the hardest thing is only as hard as the easiest breath.
